The National and Mid-Pacific ICT Centers are both focused on promoting, advancing and improving the quality and availability of ICT education in the U.S., and we are excited to join forces to create a Winter 2009 ICT Educator Conference, January 8-9, 2009, concurrent with MacWorld in San Francisco. It will feature presentations from:
• industry providers of ICT educational resources,
• the NCICT and MPICT communities on quality ICT educational practices, and
• the Mid-Pacific ICT Center on its regional efforts, including
• strategies for expanding and diversifying ICT education and workforce populations.
Information and Communications Technologies ICT is an umbrella term, widely used in the rest of the world and the United Nations, to encompass all rapidly emerging, evolving and converging computer, software, networking, telecommunications, Internet, programming and information systems technologies.
